nostr-control and scaling-lightning

#6・June 01, 2023

I found the time to end the writeups of all the videos on https://lnroom.live. I hope they are useful.

Quick reminder that the next live session will be about CLN plugins and its hook system, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 16h CEST.

Are you a Nostr user and CLN node runner?

If yes, you might want to give a try to Joel Klabo's nostr-control CLN plugin which let's you to talk to your node over Nostr DM and sends you events from your node over Nostr DMs:

  • https://github.com/joelklabo/nostr-control and

  • nostr-control Core Lightning plugin.

Henrik Skogstrøm launched a new initiative called "Scaling Lightning". The aim is to build a testing toolkit for the lightning network. They are looking for developers, node operators and researchers. If you are interested you can find more information below:

A new L2 protocol for Bitcoin named Ark came out recently. As far as I understand, Burak created Ark because he wanted a better UX than the Lightning Network for the end users and didn't like the requirement of liquidity of LN to receive payments. If you want to know more about the protocol you can watch Stephan Livera's podcast with him: Ark: A new L2 protocol for Bitcoin with Burak (SLP482) and check the https://www.arkpill.me.

I hope you're coding more than ever, See you in the next newsletter, Tony Aldon https://lnroom.live
